University Testing Validates Puradigm® Technology™ to Control CRE
CRE, which stands for carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae are a family of bacteria that are difficult to treat because they have high levels of resistance to antibiotics. Studies conducted at the Food Science Institute at Kansas State University show that the Puradigm Technology reduces Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) on inoculated Stainless Steel Surfaces. The effect of the treatment at 2 hours resulted in a 2.25 log CFU/cm2 reduction and increased consistently over time. The most effective treatment time was 24 hours and resulted in a 3.79 log CFU/cm2 reduction.
